Julie & Matthew Berg

Spring Wedding at Pine Knob Mansion

Julie and Matthew are one of the nicest and most down-to-earth couples that I’ve had the honor of working with. They had a beautiful spring wedding in May. Julie and Matt had been dating for 5 years before Matt proposed on a hot air balloon. It took them about a year to plan their perfect wedding. Finding the right venue was their biggest wedding planning priority. They wanted a place that fit their style and could accommodate both ceremony and reception. Julie and Matt, both in their mid-40s and never married, were able to stay focused on their vision. Their interfaith ceremony included both a rabbi and a pastor. Julie added some beautiful touches in memory of her mom. And instead of giving wedding favors, Julie and Matt donated to local charities Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue and Forgotten Harvest. Their color scheme included various shades of blue because Julie loves all things blue. They used books with love-related titles and sheet music scrolls as centerpieces for their tables. Matt and his best man built their chuppah (a Jewish wedding canopy) from scratch. Every detail was covered and well planned for their big day.
